Comments about Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid Hiking Boots - Men's:
I am a professional guide in East Africa, bought these boots and put on a 75 lbs. pack for four days of hiking. They were just flawless, supportive and very comfortable.
It doesn't get any better than that for a pro.

Comments about Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid Hiking Boots - Men's:
I've been so pleased with these boots that I'm on my second pair. Had the first pair for a few years now, and they are still in pretty good shape, but have been relegated to my "working in the yard boots". I wore them on a few 30+ mile hikes in Utah and Wyoming, and then a few times a week commuting in Chicago for the past three years. Exterior had held up pretty well; nothing has come un-glued that I can see though most of the heel tread has been worn down. As far as the insides go, the interior heel material has worn away, but this hasn't caused any discomfort in wearing them.
Had the new pair for a few months now, and the are in great shape. Hope they last a few years like my old pair. I'm even tempted to by a spare pair and keep in the box in case Merrill decides to stop making them.

I love these boots. I bought them for summer hiking because gore tex is just too hot. They were comfortable out of the box and have done great on hikes.

Comments about Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid Hiking Boots - Men's:
After only a couple of short outings (2-3 miles)with these boots, I expect they will suit my needs just fine.
The only reason for only 4 stars is because I've not had a chance to test them foe any lenght of time.
So far, the boots are very comfortable. They're light weight, easy to put on and take off, and provide good arch support, which was critical for my high arches.
No reason to complain about anything at this time.

Very lightweight and comfortable but a bit fragile in manufacture - tearing occuring sooner than desired.

Comments about Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid Hiking Boots - Men's:
I wear these every day to work, for casual walking and when I go for a real walk with the dogs. I love them. My only complaint is having to go up a size to get the width I needed, it makes the boot a bit too big.

Comments about Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid Hiking Boots - Men's:
These are great right out of the box for entry level boots. They took little to nothing to break in. They are very comfortable on the short hikes I've taken. If I start hiking more frequently or longer distances I may try an insole or a higher model.

Comments about Merrell Moab Ventilator Mid Hiking Boots - Men's:
These are the only boots I wear now doing 20 to 40 miles a week on hard packed fire roads and some rocky single tracks. NOTE!!!!! I ALWAYS add a pair of Sole red Dean Karnasas or blue Ed Viesters insoles to these shoes.
No matter what the condition I always get a new pair at least once a year. The insoles are crucial to pad up the bottoms.
I love the Vibram soles. great on rock.
I have never had a pair come apart on me or fail in any way. NOTE MY MILEAGE! Usually 30 miles a week - EVERY week.
