by fromSoft to the touch Fits well, is super soft on the skin. A great neck warmer for those in between weather times. Too warm for a fleece but you still need coverage. Stays in place well, you dont need to keep adjusting it during activities. Items worn close to the skin should have removable manufacturing tags.

by fromnice and soft, could be warmer this was my first wool gaiter. very soft and comfy against the skin. doesnt hold moisture and could easly go over your mouth and ears and still cover your neck. i think i do like fleece a little better as far as heat retention.

by fromSmartWool neck gaiter good for running in the cold. The fabric is quite comfortable. I air dry some garments. Even slightly wet, this gaiter provides warmth.

by fromHow did I ever live without this??? I used to own a fleece neckwarmer. The wool is so much better!! It is warmer per weight; more windproof; stays warm when wet; and is less bulky (packs smaller). It is not itchy at all! I practically live in my black one. I can wear it to work in winter; backpack with it; and from October through April I put it on every time I go cycling. It has become my most essential piece of cycling gear. Makes a big difference on the downhill (and probably keeps me from getting colds anymore). Since it's wool, it also never gets stinky; it can go for weeks between washings.

by fromIts a gaiter, a beanie, an ear band, etc When I bought this I had no clue it was a neck Gaiter. I have yet to use it as one. This is by far the greatest hat I have ever had. The top of your head is actually never that cold. It's your ears, forehead, and crown. The direct middle is actually so hot you can leave it open in freezing temps and be fine. I also fold over the top flaps to close the top when it is to cold. I have bought a second one & installed a pull string around the top so I can cinch it closed & tight. I have also folded it to be an ear band or rolled the end to make a folded type beanie with the top open. SmartWool (which is just really good marketed Merino Wool) is great. No itchy itchy or fishy wool smell. Very soft, light, & warm. Biggest plus is that you can wear this all day hiking or climbing; sweating like a Sumo wrestler and it won't smell. I'm the type of guy that easily gets warm & when I adjust to cool off I get too cold. This gaiter makes it easy to regulate your temp by opening the hole or scrunch it up to show more skin. I shave my head and wear this every day as it is so comfy. Buy 2 so you can keep one nice for Urban use & one for camping.

by fromMust have! This is my best piece of fitness apparel. I take a pre-dawn "boot camp" class outside, and the SmartWool neck gaiter keeps my neck warm, even when wet from sweat, and it's lightweight & flexible enough to become "invisible" during these grueling workouts. My entire outdoor workout experience changed for the better with this thing. Don't mess around, just get this. In fact, get a couple of them.

by fromBest Buy1 This neck gaitor is the best thing ever. I always wanted to be able to wear a scarf, but I could never figure out how people could stand that scarf always hanging down and getting in the way of everything. Then I moved to zip tops which are great because they keep your neck warm and unzip when you don't want it, but I traded in the practicality for looking like I was always getting ready to work out. This gaitor is so soft and cozy, but it doesn't heat you to where you want to take it off - it just keeps your body temp regulated for comfort, and you forget you have it on. I'm so attached to it I've worn it everyday this winter. The black goes with everything. I wish they had fun patterns and rich designs.

by fromPerfect! I mainly use this when I ride my motorcycle. It's great for winter. Just keeping my neck and face warm has made a huge difference in my overall body heat retention. I have found that even at higher speeds this keeps about 90% of the wind out and it stays dry in light rain. I don't itch afterward either. Also, it doesn't make me feel sweaty or smell bad after several uses. It has multiple uses. I fold it in half and use it as a headband when I run. It's a bit pricey so I was hesitant to pay that much but it really is worth every penny!
