Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
One of the spring loaded pin locks (locks the foot assembly) was sticking in the hole and had to tweak it. Works great...

Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
Very good product. Holds the bike securely without much effort to lock it down. The height adjustment can be a little difficult to adjust and the quick locking push buttons are stiff. But overall the stand is a good all around portable stand that I take everywhere with me. Great value.

Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
I should have listened to the experts at the REI Northville and Ann Arbor when they told me to go with the Feedback Sports Pro-Ultralight stand as opposed to the Park Tool.
When I got home I tried to assemble to stand - I had to return the first stand and get another which I later returned. The following describes the troubles I had with both stands:
The bottom vertical tube has a button that secures it to a plate that also secures the horizontal tubes. This button either stuck all the way in or all the way out. The tube that this button is in/on has to slide into the plate I just mentioned. It was next to impossible to slide it all the way down into the plate. This is a problem because it is what makes the stand collapsable. In videos I have seen online a smooth movement is shown. The demonstrations could not be further from reality. I tried to assemble all the pieces but at the end of the day it was a massive pain to make this thing collapse. I also should mention that I had the same difficulties with height adjustment.
I picked up the Feedback Sports Ultra-light which was only $10 more and have zero complaints about that one.

Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
Works great. I read other posts that suggested it is difficult to assemble, but if you can't put this thing together you probably shouldn't be doing your own bike work. It is sturdy, stable, and seems well built. It's heavy, so moving and transporting it aren't easy, but its weight keeps it stable. The clamping can be a little fussy, but that's probably an issue with most of these devices. All in all, it is a good, well made tool.

Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
Very good home stand. Sturdy and holds bike securely. Clamp is easy to adjust and provides 360 degree rotation. Easy to set up (don't let the instructions, which are confusing, throw you). Note this is not shop quality and doesn't claim to be. For the home mechanic or repairs/adjustments from the back of the car, though, this is great.

Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
Some assembly required and all necessary tools were included. Once it is set up it is a required item if you perform any maintenance on your bike. It stores nicely in very little space but easy to open up when needed. A must have!

Comments about Park Home Mechanic Bike Repair Stand:
I really like this bike repair stand. After wanting one for several years, I purchased the Park Tool stand at my local REI outlet using my membership dividend to discount the price a bit.
Although assembly was a bit of a challenge (the instructions in the box were pretty opaque), the finished product works like a charm. It is almost infinitely adjustable, which makes it handy for pretty much any job on pretty much any bike. It's very stable, and even folds up sufficiently that I can put it in the back seat of my care when I head off for charity event rides.
It's not the lighest thing in the world, but then again, for what you want it to do, I'm not sure something flimsier would do the job properly. Overall, I'm very impressed and would recommend this product to any cyclist who wants to have a stand that will allow them to better maintain their bike.
