The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Rated1out of5byfromIs the plastic defective? We've purchased 6 Mirrycle mirrors in exactly a year. That's how many we've had to purchase in one year in order to replace the plastic that keeps breaking. We've kept all the broken plastic parts to try and determine what it is. One broke in just one day, so that's when we decided something is just not right. We have definitely given these mirrors a fair trial, so feel compelled to try and seek some answers. We like the style, the simplicity of overall installation, but the plastic parts issue has got to be examined. Since we've contacted REI about this, maybe something will be done.

Rated4out of5byfromEverything it says it isI bought this based on other reviewers' comments. After so many bad reviews of other mirrors (won't stay put, break easily, hard to keep aimed, etc.) I was very pleased to find one that does what it claims to do. Other reviewers said it would work on a road bike, but nobody claimed they had used it in that way. Well, it does work! After a bit of trial and error, I left off the last section of stem since the drop bars are at right angles from typical MTB or cruiser bars. That put the mirror just outside the back of my left wrist, where I can take a quick glance down to see it. I just have to make sure I don't whack it when I take my hand off the bar, but the few times I did bump it didn't affect its position or aim. It mounts solidly, adjustment is good, and the field of vision is excellent. The amount of curvature of the mirror is just right - I can see down both lanes of traffic behind me. After two rides totalling 50 miles on regular roads, it stayed aimed and tight. I'm happy!

Rated4out of5byfromFabulous MirrorThis is the one. It stays put, is very durable and is a great size for riding on the roads. The glass did break when I took a tumble on the pavement but the frame didn't. I will be replacing it with the same model.

Rated1out of5byfromWill Give Another One A TryThis is a great little mirror to see what's behind you when riding. I had used it less than two months before the mirror broke off the mirror arm. I had the same issue with mine as comments of 8 Oct 2010 and 12 Oct 2011. Once the screw was tightened into the mirror end of the arm, the mirror arm cracked. The best thing about purchasing at REI is that their customer service is excellent and they are replacing the mirror. I do not live near a REI store so I could not take it into the store. I called the manufacturer to report the problem and they said they would replace the mirror arm if it breaks again. I was told the screw is not the problem but the batch that this mirror came from may have had a problem with the composite material from which the mirror arm was made. I would probably recommend it to a friend especially if the replacement one holds together.

Rated5out of5byfromA little more money, but it WORKS!!I have recenlty made several online purchases and appreciated all of the comments of other users that helped me make the purchasing desicions. I've never provided comments online for a product I have purchased, but I felt compelled to comment on this product because it does what I need it to and it does it well! Prior to buying this product I purchased a cheap bike mirror from a major national retailer. It was only about $7 or so, but it was completely useless. The reviews for this product were great so I figured I would give it a try, I was not disapointed. The installation is not difficult but it takes a little time. Some of the screws are difficult to install, but that is by design. Two of the screws are screwed into a brass fitting that acts like loctite. It takes a little muscle to get them tight, but it is supposed to be that way. This prevents the screws from losening. After the installation I took a ride around the neighborhood in the dark. I wasn't certain if I would be able to adjust or use the mirror in the dark, but it was not a problem at all. The mirror was easily adjusted and I could easily see the the road behind me. From the pictures it looked like the mirror might stick out a bit from the handlebar but I didn't think that was the case after I installed it. The connection point on the mirror is offset and I positioned it so the mirror was a little further outbound of the bike. You could rotate it 180 degrees and the mirror would be a little closer to the bike if you need it to be that way. I've only used it on a short ride so far but it worked so well that I had to write it up. I feel confident that it will do what I need it to do. The mirror adjusts easily and stays in place. I can see the mirror easily, my hand or arm isn't in the way. I can easily see around my body and behind me. If I bump into something it moves out of adjustment rather than breaking. This is just what I was looking for!
