REI Members get back an estimated $ 5.60 on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cupis rated4.0out of5by6.
Rated2out of5byfromNot quite thereI decided to go for the Snow Peak coffee press because despite the price, it looked like the highest performer. I was pretty disappointed however with the quality of the coffee it produced. I tried it with the parchment filter at first, but it strained out a lot of the small particulates and oils, resulting in a pretty weak cup. It also let through more grounds than I would have expected. I followed some people's advice by removing the parchment filter, which really helped with the flavor - unfortunately it just let through too many grounds. I'd use this thing in a pinch for myself, but I wouldn't ever want to serve someone with it.

Rated4out of5byfromGreat Coffee, no groundsWe've used this press countless times in the 5 years we've had it. We don't get grounds in our coffee, maybe a little sediment, similar to the what you'd get from the bottom of the glass press we use at home. Nothing to worry about, in my opinion. (Also, immensely better than the alternative of cowboy coffee or instant) I recommend that you need to be gentle/slow when you push the plunger down, don't force it, and you won't have any trouble. Each pot makes enough for 2 people. Pour a couple cups of joe, and get the press started for the next round. Cleanup has been a breeze, no worse than a standard glass Bodum at home. The handle works nicely, keeps fingers safely away from the heat, and has never collapsed.

Rated3out of5byfromAdequateI used this during a canoe trip, and it was compact and light and easy to clean. A lot of grounds seem to get by the filter. I tried it after removing the white fabric screen, as one reviewer suggested, but it was worse. If I pushed the press extremely slowly, and allowed the grounds to settle, it wasn't too bad. It's better than "cowboy coffee", but at this price it's a little extravagant. I'd recommned it, with the above caveats.

But the coffee it makes is AWESOME !!!!! If your a coffee freak like my wife and I are, You cant go wrong! This French Press works excellent I now use it every morning in the house. Nothing like a great cup o' joe before a jaunt in the woods..

I boil water in it, use half to make breakfast and the rest to make coffee, breakfast in 10 minutes! Best part is this is the only cookware that has told me it's safe you use on campfire coles. I love being able to make coffee or tea on the fire whenever I want. Could not ask for more from my French Press

Rated5out of5byfromGreat Press Pot - Remove the Mesh FilterI read all of the reviews on this Press Pot and apparently no one has thought to just remove the white fine mesh filter to prevent coffee grinds from working their way past the edge of the filters. My first cup of coffee looked like it came from a river bottom as I used the pot just as it came out of the box. I dumped the sediment down the drain, removed the white mesh filter and made a new cup. Perfect! No grounds and great taste. Works just like any other Press Pot and I use it every day at home as it is just enough to get the day jump started. Use coarse grind and enjoy.
