The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
This French Press is so nice because it doubles as a stove pot. I love it because its the only cookware I bring on lightweight trips. I boil water in it, use half to make breakfast and the rest to make coffee, breakfast in 10 minutes! Best part is this is the only cookware that has told me it's safe you use on campfire coles. I love being able to make coffee or tea on the fire whenever I want. Could not ask for more from my French Press

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
I read all of the reviews on this Press Pot and apparently no one has thought to just remove the white fine mesh filter to prevent coffee grinds from working their way past the edge of the filters. My first cup of coffee looked like it came from a river bottom as I used the pot just as it came out of the box. I dumped the sediment down the drain, removed the white mesh filter and made a new cup. Perfect! No grounds and great taste. Works just like any other Press Pot and I use it every day at home as it is just enough to get the day jump started. Use coarse grind and enjoy.

I wanted this to work, it did not, so save your cash unless you enjoy consuming gounds with your coffee. Total rip off for the price.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
After guiding trips in the BWCA, I wanted a coffee press that was lightweight and made a great tasting coffee as opposed to making cowboy coffee in a pot of water. (Boil water, add coffee, stir) This french press rocks, I have had no problems with it sitting on my whisperlite stove. Titanium is the way to go.
Awesome product, I love it. Snowpeak has it right.

Got my coffee press a couple of days ago and tried it out today. Worked perfectly! No muss, no fuss, wonderful coffee. Easy to clean as well. Amazingly lightweight. This little guy is about to become my new best friend.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
i used this press multiple times a day for many months while bicycle touring america. best method for use is to boil the water in a pot and then pour. it was not stable on a whisper-lite stove and boiling it on another stove does indeed create handles to hot to touch.
cleaning is relatively easy. to completely get all grinds out it does require a rinse. this does create issues when h20 is of low supply. i've never replaced any filters on it and i now use it every morning as a home coffee pot. it still works just as good as day one.
my only complaint would be that if you press with to much force when it's full, it does sometimes shoot.
all in all - a great product well worth the money. very durable and very reliable. easy to use and easy to pack, hang from your packs, or stuff away. well worth the purchase.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
I have used this press almost everyday, at home and while camping, now for well over 5yrs! I have actually worn out a couple of the filters in this time, but the press itself is still in perfect shape.
It is a french press people, there will be some grounds or sediment in the bottom. If this is a big issue, then filter the coffee through a piece of cheesecloth as you pour it into your cup (unfortunately this will take out some of the essential oils though). Still it will be one of the best cups of coffee you can make out on the trail. The only better setup would be the Aeropress. It comes at the cost of extra weight though.
I will not repeat the good instructions for using it others have already posted. But read up on how to use a french press, and steep with a timer. If you have a cell phone, you likely have a timer on it.
I will repeat the recommendation to use a Hario Mini Slim ceramic burr grinder. It is more compact and better made than the GSI Grinder, at only minimal additional cost. I use mine everyday too. As a bonus, it packs easier, and is lighter than the GSI grinder.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
I had high hopes for this product, since I love coffee and am not a big fan of instant. Every cup of coffee I brewed had the same bad odor and taste. I tried several different brands of coffee; always the same bad odor and taste. I could not figure out what was going on. Finally, I smelled the silicone ring up close, and realized that is exactly what I am smelling and tasting in the coffee. The silicone ring is leaching into the coffee. I cannot believe all the reviews that said this product makes great coffee. They must have an older model, or like the flavor of silicone. Absolutely horrible tasting coffee. You are better of packing instant.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium French Press - 3 Cup:
Used it for 2 years and had to comment. Useful as a coffee press in the AM and boil water in a split all day. Also a great water cup. Nothing else like it in my pack. Other campers will be happy your there when you start your stove and 5 minutes later there is a hot cup of coffee to drink. Hold enough coffee for a hardcore coffee drinker to get a good morning blast. Only downside is you need a decent amount of water to clear out the grinds, other than that it is great.
