The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5byTravel and Live AbroadfromOutstandingI've been wearing these since 1999 -- and when I say "these" I mean a set of Ex Officio boxer briefs. Since 1999 I've worn them for anything that involves wearing underwear -- hiking, playing tennis, the gym, running sometimes, 30 hour airplane journeys, travel in the jungle, travel in the mountains, travel in the desert, golf, suits, khakis, shorts, even swimming.
They seemed expensive at the time, but they're still going. They extended the life of suit pants and khakis (abrasion). Saved my parts on extended hikes or the like. Saved me dollars with sink washes and hotel hang drying. Saved me space in luggage.
I use them so much I finally decided I want a few more on hand to ease the wash cycle and have more clean and ready for short notice travel.
If the details and reviews tweak your interest, try them. They may be a great find. I feel a tad silly being so passionate about these briefs, but if they didn't exist my life would really wouldn't be the same. It's true, I give thanks for them on Thanksgiving . . . .

Rated5out of5byFredrickk57fromnice fit, true to sizeI bought theses under wear for cross country skiing to prevent chaffing, though I have not had a chance to try them out they do feel like they will stretch to the max and come right back to original shape, very important to me in the back country.
That are very thin which I'm not sure I like, but could go either way.

Rated5out of5byRed RangerfromThe most comfortable I've wornI purchased three pair of these for a 2-week trip to Alaska. Without laundry facilities handy, I washed them using a small amount of soap in the sink and hung them to dry. I couldn't be happier with my purchase... I will buy more when, and if, these ever wear out.

Rated5out of5byjacklovefromBest everOkay, for boxer briefs, these are a little expensive. However, these are the best underwear I have ever owned. I was told by another that they were so good they were like "Black Magic". Still not quite sure what he meant, but they are pretty awesome.

Rated5out of5byACHfromWoth the moneyThese underwear are worth the investment in quality and comfort. I have several pairs that have been in steady use for two years and they are still as good as new. I wash in cold water and use the low setting on the dryer so that probably helps them last longer. You won't be disappointed in them

Rated5out of5byTyrvaldfromIf Boxer Briefs Could Win A Peace PrizeAfter deciding underwear was superfluous, a pair of these brought me back into the fold. If someone tells me only sheep feel the need to wear pants under their pants I am going to baa right in their face! Magic underwear? Not quite, but can by washed by hand in holy water or blessed by witchcraft in a pinch... For hiking or the office, there's no need for the two sides of your brain to fight over unseen fashion decisions! There can be peace between the you that wants freedom and the more conservative dresser in your head!

Rated5out of5bylivefreeordiefromNever going back!I wish I hated these for how much they costs. But after 5 years of having at least 2 pairs, I'm never going back to any other brand/material of underwear. These babies wick and breath like no other - it's like A/C in my boxers! I started with just 2 pairs I got on sale, and I was hooked! I have since replaced my whole underwear drawer with these. Expensive? Yes. But I waited until they were on sale to add another pair or two at a time. They last and wear great - haven't had one pair show any signs of giving up. They're great traveling and I used them when hiking Macchu Piccu, sailing back from Bermuda, and when suited up and just going to the office. These are a godsend on those hot and humid summer days in full suit here in DC! Buy a pair. You won't regret it.
