Coleman Dual-Fuel 2 Burner Stove is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Made in USA! I first starting using this kind of stove in the early 80 with my Father. They can be a bit problematic to get started, but once they get warmed up they are about the best stove for general car camping that I've found. No more wondering if the propane tank is full, and no more wasted propane tanks. As a bonus, try to find another product at REI that is made in the USA. This is a great stove. Completely rebuildable and serviceable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, no complaints, just buy it. I have had a Coleman fuel 2-burner stove for about 40 years now and except for having to replace the generator (once) about 30 years ago and the pump kit (once) about ten years ago this stove has been extremely, INCREDIBLY reliable and easy to use. I have never has ANY trouble getting it to light off and anyone who says anything negative about this stove is doing something wrong. My stove is old, dented, rusty, dusty, heavy and bulky but never fails me when the hurricanes come through and the electricity goes away. Two burners are great when cooking for groups. I also have a Coleman fuel lantern, also 40 years old. I just can't justify getting a new one until the old one dies. I'll probably die first. Just buy it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit fussy but worth it for regular use I like the simplicity of this stove. It is more work and fuss to light than the propane stoves. So, if you car camp with your family twice a year, I would go with propane. But for regular use, I think this is the way to go. PROS 1. Those green propane canisters are a landfill disaster. There is little to no recycling; if you don't believe me, read Coleman's own website. 2. Propane costs about three times more right off the bat. You can get a gallon (128 oz) of white gas for $10 or a canister (16 oz) of propane for $3.25. But the white gas is about 25% more efficient in BTUs, making the savings even greater. 3. Many backpacking stoves use white gas, so you're only buying one fuel for both. 4. You can use gasoline in a pinch. 5. Propane is harder to use when the temps drop, or the altitude increases. (Easier to light perhaps, but harder to keep a steady flame). CONS 1. There is often some spillage when filling the tank. 2. It's really not that hard to light, but it does take some practice to get the flame right. 3. It's relatively heavy, definitely not for hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Used 37 years ago...and today! I learned on this as a boyscout and lost the one from 37 years ago that mi padre bought. The one i have now is 15 years old and still looks and works well. Be good to your equipment and it will deliver! period. Propane is fun [i tried those too] but in an emergency situation....you got it. This is it. A portable Kitchen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't beat a classic This stove is pretty much the same as the one I used as a Boy Scout 35 years ago. Designed for family/car/base camp style camping, don't plan on using this for backpacking. I found this stove to be very reliable, easy to use and more economical than the similar propane model. Worth every penny!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from tried and true stove It doesn't have the bells and whistles of some other stoves (like an igniter) and is bulkier and heavier too (mostly because of the liquid fuel bottle) but it is durable and built to last. And parts are readily available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Stove Dependable, efficient, clean - what more can you ask for from a camping stove. You can cook anything on this stove! Ignore the negative comments. It is very easy to light provided you read the simple directions and use Coleman fuel. These stoves are the gold standard for car campers and have been for generations. Do yourself a favor and give it a dry run cooking at home to learn the ropes before you get out in the woods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stove in not so Great Conditions This is a great compact stove for car camping. We camped in wet, rainy conditions and made breakfast each morning (eggs, bacon, pancakes and COFFEE). Lighting a fire was not an option each morning so we had no choice but to fire up the Coleman. The wind flaps are a little flimsy but they worked! We were able to get two frying pans on the stove and I was able to control the heat easily to cook everything without burning it. EASY to light even with dripping rain and some wind. I recommend this stove, it cooked everything well and quickly in less than ideal conditions!
