The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated5out of5byYooper stuck in ILfromDon't Think About It Just Get It!Bought this to compliment my hatchet, worked great on my trip to the North Woods. Doesn't take up that much room and much more practical for making logs for the fire than chopping up a storm. Sven Saw + Dead Tree = Logs For The Whole Night

Rated1out of5bygetmeoutofthehousefromJunkI bought this because it was light weight. That's the only good thing about it. When I put it together, I had to use tin snips to get the blade to tighten, but the upper support didn't stay in place so I had to modify the receiver for that too. When I went to use it to cut fire wood, it lasted about 10 minutes and the blade bent/kinked making it unusable. Go with something else!

Rated5out of5bySixtieskidfromLeave your hatchet at homeMy first experience with this little saw was during a campout with friends. Between two grown men we were able to cut enough firewood for the weekend in less than 30 minutes. It's lightweight, durable, and well-made. For backpacking, I would recommend the smaller one - you will still be able to cut logs up to about 6 inches. The bonus is that this saw has many other home uses. The guy at the checkout told me he had one for about 20 years and that he uses it often. Well worth it.

Rated5out of5bydscottfromA tank of a sawJust limbed a tree in my back yard with this saw yesterday and it performed admirably. Cuts smoothly, and I really like being able to stow it away safely for transport. Allowed me to climb the tree without worrying about the sharp blade. I've packed it on numerous hiking and backpacking trips and it never fails me.

Rated5out of5byjsnsongfromBest Purchase in a WhileHad to process a lot of wood for a winter backpacking trip in the rain and snow. Had to decide between the trusty old hatchet and picking up a saw. so glad i went with the saw. made getting through the 5-8 inch wide branches a breeze. much less dangerous than swinging a hatchet while cold, wet and tired. a must have!! i will never backpack or camp without it.
