REI Members get back an estimated $ 2.20 on this item as part of their annual member refund.

    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

by fromNot cool for an American made product. It leaked the first time that I fired it up. The can has rivets that hold the handle on. It leaked out of the rivets. Poor design. I like to purchase American made products and this was a let down. I will be returning it promptly.

Before buying this item I read the reviews; only one review stated the pot leaked at the rivets so I thought maybe "their" pot was defective. Unfortunately, the pot I bought leaked at the rivets too. Unless I can figure a way to correct this issue, I will be returning the pot. This would make a great backpacking pot as it will hold 4 cups of water comfortably (not 5 cups); is lightweight, and has a pouring indentation in the pot (not a separate spout which adds more weight). The weight of the pot and lid only is 6.6 ounces. My yes recommendation of this pot is only if you can figure out how to stop the rivets from leaking. :-)

by fromWhy not? If you drink coffee, why wouldn't you carry this? It is a little bulky, but, to me, it's well worth the small sacrifice to fit this in your pack. The only drawback that I have found is that you can't find paper filters to fit it (at least not in Louisiana). so I have to make my own from home coffee filters. Believe me, when you wake up on a cold morning, a good cup of coffee makes any hassle more than well worth it.

This perc works decently, but it gets a bit tedious to clean while on the trail due to lack of water. As a coffee enthusiast, let me tell you that this will not give you the best coffee for your buck. What I did was to take the stem and basket out so that it's just a pot. This little guy does a great job as a small pot to boil a decent amount of coffee. I bought the GSI ultra light Java Drip and stuck it inside the pot. Now, when I go camping all I have to worry about cleaning is my cup and a quick rinse of the filter. The java drip makes a much better brew. I add 4 hefty spoonfuls of coffee and that seems to do the trick! I'm not saying that this perc won't do the job, but you're better off with the Java Drip by GSI. (This perc got 4 stars because of its abilities as light weight pot).

by fromSimple, does the job Did the job well. Only con would be that the lid comes off when pouring. Must hold lid on. This is hard when the pot has been sitting on the fire. FYI

by fromgreat coffee pot BUT? I just returned from a week long camping trip and love the pot itself just feel handles could be a tad larger and found that the handles get to hot to handle without help of glove or other wrap why not cover handles with silicon?

by fromgreat coffee pot (BUT) I wrote this review a couple of days ago but it seems to have been lost before it got posted.I just returned from a week long camping trip and was first time using the coffee pot found that the handles could be a tad larger; but even more they need to be insulated. My stove is a M.S.R wisperlite and when boiling water grab the handles to pour without a glove or some wrap your going to have a bad morning.

by fromGreat Product Great pot. I used a regular sized filter with a hole in the middle to fit inside the coffee basket. I then wrapped the sides of the filter down on top of the coffee to keep it all in place. Worked great and our camping neighbors were jealous of our freshly made coffee every morning. I also used this pot to make sweet tea - awesome little pot.
