I'm a 78-year old with a history of two heart attacks and stents. I walk 5-6 days a week year-round for a target 25-30 miles through my neighborhood and the surrounding desert. Need to carry ID info, Nitrostat tablets with instructions for administering in the event of another attack, full prescription lists and doctor contacts, together with iPod Shuffle and earphones, keys, etc. After many previous makeshift attempts, this waistpack meets all my requirements -- I can even hang a water bottle on the waistpack for my longer walks. A great solution for my requirements, without becoming an awkward burden. Thanks REI/AMPHIPOD.

Works well (but uncomfortable for me)

This carries everything I need for a walk/run (keys, phone, ID, iPod) easy with plenty of room to spare. I've had it for about two years, and it is a very secure way to carry essentials and is not very bulky. It seems well made. My caveat: I only use this in the summer (when I don't have pockets) because I find it uncomfortable. I am a normal weight with a small waist, and it rides up to the smallest part of my waist and bounces when I run and I keep having to pull it back down. I'm more comfortable wearing it around my lower abdomen above the hips, but it doesn't want to stay there. It is fine when I walk but is another story when I run.

Functional and comfortable w/out bounce

Great no bounce minimal option that will still hold a card wallet, a smart phone, and a key or three. The main zippered compartment has a divider so you can separate your keys to keep them from scratching your phone. The main pocket is easy to access if you want to start/stop your workout app. There are also two outer pockets (no zippers) to put gel packs or (unused) poop bags for your pup. It is very adjustable and you can cinch it down with the wide stretchable waist band to almost no bounce, or you can easily wear it looser for a trip to the farmer's market. Wearable around your hips or waist. Nice product!

Excellent 4 Athletic/Traveling

This is the 2nd pack I have purchased. After 5 years I moved up from the Amphipod Lite to this larger similar pack. After a month of use, I love it! I had needed a little more room for my android phone, 5 gel packs, keys, ccrd/money. It fits everything so easily. There is no bouncing or movement of the pack while I run (marathons, 5k, sprint workouts, etc.) It fits up against my back and I don't even know its there! Could put in energy bars if I wanted, because the stretchy front is so accommodating. I also purchased and attached the smaller size hydration bottles. Awesome!

Purchasing a backup ...

As a fat person (sorry if it offends), it stayed around my waist during my attempts at running holds MP3 player which is one of the only things that keeps me moving. A year later, it has followed my waist size as it decreases. Wicks moisture away just like it says. So much so, the salt flakes off(gross) but reflective of good workout. Drys fast. It doubles as a wallet (FL wear no pants) it looks cool. Buyin a second just in case they quit making em. Use everyday, on and off often. No signs of wear n tear. GREAT PRODUCT!

Can barely feel it's there

I ran a few times this winter with this waist-pack/belt/fanny-pack, when it was warmer than 40 F. I had on just running tights, a pair of shorts, and shirts, and a windbreaker or a sweatshirt. It went right over the shorts, and I barely knew it was there. It had just my phone (for weight and size comparisons, it is a Nexus 5), and cards, money, and key. In the spring, I won't have the shorts on, but I doubt I'll feel it then, given the light weight and wide and (relatively) soft belt. The pouch zipper closes over the Nexus 5 with only a little effort, and this is a big screen, so this pouch is spacious. I think the water bottles they sell for their heavier belt will work with this one too, but I haven't tried that yet.

Works fine, Could be better.

The small interior pockets could be a little taller. If I put my license and credit card in them I can't close the zipper without forcing it. Holds a phone just fine. Would be nice if it had a separate interior zip pocket for car key and license - I'm always wary of dropping them when I put my phone in or take it out. The belt is comfortable to wear.

Fantastic!

I was worried about the pack staying in place because I was blessed with wide hips and a small waist. The pack won't stay on my hips, but it's been absolutely no problem running with it around my waist. Today, I ran 8 miles in warm weather with my inhaler, cell phone, iPod touch, and a chapstick stashed. Even with everything jammed in there, the pack didn't move one inch during my run, and I barely felt it there. I always think it would look more stylish if it would stay around my hips like a regular belt, but it rests at the small of my back and the weight virtually disappears. The three-sectioned compartment divider was a brilliant idea. I've been able to pull out my iPod mid-run without worrying that I might lose my ID or emergency (ice cream) money. Heading out tomorrow to get new shoes, and I'm planning to pick up two water bottles to add. Will update my review once I've had a few runs with the water bottles.

Works Better as a Moneybelt than Moneybelts

I bought this for a trip to some cities in warm climates with notorious pickpocket problems. The belt is secure, comfortable, doesn’t move, is invisible under a polo shirt, and holds an iPhone XR, a wad of cash, credit cards, and a granola bar. You can wear it in front, in back or on the side. It also breathes and doesn’t cause you to sweat. Way better than pockets or a money belt.

Can carry Samsung S4! Oh happy day!

Carries my Samsung S4 in its hardcase securely to me while I run and exercise. Not other product on the market dares come close. The S4 and its case are far larger than most designs by other mfgs. and answers my need to have a cellphone within reach while I play. This is my second Amphipod and I expect a long tenure of service similar to the first.
