Tomlinson Run State Park
New Cumberland, WV

Tomlinson Run State Park
The northern peninsula of West Virginia is unique. And where Tomlinson Run State Park lies, it is only 5 miles in either direction to the states of Ohio or Pennsylvania. West Virginia is lucky to have this pretty piece of our country. Tomlinson Run forms a valley where steep ridges make for mountainous terrain. And on top of one of these ridges is the park’s campground. The heavily forested high ground gives a sense of being on top of the world, though the elevation is only 1,200 feet. Actually, all around you is a fine state park, with some development tastefully added to the natural beauty of the area. Trails, a lake, fishing ponds, and a wilderness area are mixed with a huge pool, game courts, and picnic areas. So pack your tent and head on up to West Virginia’s northernmost campground.
