McClintic Wildlife Management Area
Point Pleasant, WV

McClintic Wildlife Management Area
McClintic Wildlife Management Area is located in Mason County. And Mason County is nearly encircled by rivers, as the Ohio swoops and bends along the east, north, and west, and the Kanawha flows in from the south. McClintic itself lies near the confluence of the Ohio and Kanawha Rivers. A lot of water lies within the confines of McClintic—with over 30 lakes ready for the avid angler. Hunting is popular in season. But what really puts McClintic over the edge is the unusual campground. Imagine this: old, old trees, grassy fields, fishing ponds, and an awesome view of the cooling towers of Gavin Power Plant.
