Horseshoe Run Campground
This is the kind of well-landscaped campground that makes the most of its natural setting and ends up making other campgrounds look bad. The campground is open but not too sunny. The campsites are neat but not overdone. Horseshoe Run sings its way downstream, while the mountainside across the campground rises high above Horseshoe Run. Wood smoke curls through the large white pines. The creekside setting is near ideal for tent campers—plenty of privacy yet convenient to campground amenities and your car. The tent campers’ area made Horseshoe Campground even better and is a must for anyone tent camping in the upper Cheat River area. This is an all-inclusive recreation area that should keep you entertained, that is, if you enjoy mountain streams, hiking trails, and canoe trips.
