Ridgeline Trail Loop: Spencer Butte to Fox Hollow Road
This route begins at the base of Spencer Butte, follows Ridgeline Trail across Fox Hollow Road, completes a loop, and then heads back to Spencer Butte Park. Slippery wooden ramps. Escape the city and clear your lungs on a hilly section of the scenic Ridgeline Trail that begins at Spencer Butte Park. Cruise through deep forest with pockets of magnificent old-growth fir—just don’t wipe out on the slick wooden bridges! The route heads down steep switchbacks and then crosses Fox Hollow Road. After the road crossing you’ll complete a quiet forest loop where you’ll be sharing part of the trail with mountain bikers. After completing the loop the route promises a good workout when you crank back uphill to your starting point.
