A day hike, with an optional cross-country section, to a scenic viewpoint overlooking Wasco Lake in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. The trail contours through mountain hemlock and fir forest, then crosses Canyon Creek at a nice little waterfall. It continues to Wasco Lake and skirts the lake on its west side. Permit required for day and overnight hikes; self issue at trailhead.
