PCT: Hwy 138 near the Cascade Crest to Hwy 58 near Willamette Pass
This section has several impressive peaks, including Mt. Thielsen, Diamond Peak, and Mt. Yoran. Unfortunately, the PCT avoids several nice lakes along the way, although as day hikers we begin and end many of our hikes at or near lakes (e.g., Diamond, Miller, Crescent, and Summit). This section passes through Mt. Thielsen and Diamond Lakes Wildernesses. You need to register with each Wilderness if you enter from one of the easily accessible trailheads, but outside of the form you are asked to fill out and deposit in TH boxes there is no one you need to contact.
