Round Hill - East Mountain Loop Trail
Tucked away in the northwest corner of Clarence Fahnestock State Park, within the Hubbard-Perkins Conservation Area, lies one of the most serene tracts of wilderness inside this 12,000-plus-acre park. Preserved by the Open Space Institute, Round Hill and East Mountain offer a terrific opportunity for you and your pup to get away from it all on a challenging full day’s hike. The Round Hill-East Mountain Loop offers calm passages paralleling sections of Clove Creek, as well as moderately challenging climbs up Round Hill and East Mountain. If you travel this trail during summer, carry additional water, as little natural water is available after School Mountain Road.
