Irvine Nature Center Trail
Lutherville, MD

Irvine Nature Center Trail
Stroll through mature forest, orchard, wildflower meadow, and gardens extended with a hike uphill and down through bucolic Greenspring Valley. Go inside the nature center to register—but don’t be so quick to head out. The center itself has some wonderful displays. The live animals exhibited include poisonous dart frogs, snakes, turtles, and hissing cockroaches from Madagascar. Counted among its preserved specimens are native birds, including waxwings, finches, warblers, geese, as well as a red fox, which are indigenous to the immediate area.
