Sawyer Campground
I must be honest with you—this campground has seen better days. But there will be, and should be, some good days to come for tent campers who dare check out this national-forest campground on the shores of upper Lake Cumberland. That being said, Sawyer is for adventurous campers who don’t mind if their campsite isn’t perfect, if there isn’t a campground host to smooth over any problems, and if they like a rustic setting here on this uppermost part of Lake Cumberland, a mere ribbon of water where cliffs and a wooded shoreline form a scenic backdrop.
