If you’re going to come and camp at Mammoth Cave for a few days, why not do it at the campground that sits in the heart of the park and directly over parts of the cave? This facility is called Headquarters for a reason. It’s strategically located near the visitor center, where most of the cave tours take place, and is the jumping-off point for almost everything else. The campsites feature picnic tables, fire rings, lantern posts, and some also have a tent pad and mini table.
