Silver Mountain Nature Trail
Kellogg, Idaho, a half hour east of Coeur d'Alene. Tight turns over scree, ski area views, a gondola ride to get there, and two chairlift available to carry you and your bike over some very steep terrain. The top of the gondola accesses an outstanding system of trails that lead south to the St. Joe Range or east to the Bitterroots and Montana. Check out the Lake Elsie Trail, too, for an extended ride. The trail has 0.6 miles forest road/doubletrack and 2.2 miles singletrack.
