Lucky Peak Loop
Boise Front, northwest of downtown Boise. This is a big loop. Terrain is varied while rough and rocky surfaces are limited to short sections. Steep climbs are sustained, but only severe for short sections. The canopy of conifers is not nearly as full as the more northern sections of the Boise Ridge; you are in the sun more and exposed to the elements. Finishing with the greenbelt and Warm Springs Avenue, you feel quite urbane after descending from the eagles.
