Lewis and Clark Trail / Lolo Motorway
Historic recreational ride on a tree-lined ridge road high above the Lochsa River. The route follows the overland route of the Corps of Discovery in 1805--the single most arduous portion of their journey from St. Louis, Missouri, to the Pacific Ocean. Located near Powell Junction, 168 miles east of Lewiston or 65 miles west of Missoula, Montana. Tread: 72.9 miles of single-lane dirt road. The road surface is rocky with many ruts, divots, and washboard bumps.
