Canfield Buttes Outer Loop
Northeast of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, at the western edge of the Coeur d'Alene Mountains. If you can handle the hazards of this demanding loop, you're paid off with rugged mountain and lake views, pristine meadows, and an excellent introductory tour of the Canfield Mountain Trail System. Many of the singletrack trails in this complex intersect this access road including access to both Canfield Butte summits. The trail has 10 miles pavement and 10.8 miles gravel/dirt forest road.
