Boise Ridge - Deer Point Loop
Boise Front, just northwest of the center of town. This is a serious ride. Including the descents that you have to regain, this one climbs 4,000 feet. Terrain is widely varied, but the steep uphills are not so sustained or extreme in angle to make it cruel. Climbing to the Boise Ridge, you leave behind the semi-arid zone; pines, fir, and alders welcome you out of the sage. At the summit you have the option of climbing a bit more to plunge over the other side and down into Bogus Basin Ski Area.
