Oconee River Campground
This small Forest Service campground is located along the banks of the Oconee River a few miles north of Lake Oconee. And the difference is striking. Lake Oconee can become a summertime madhouse of powerboats. The Oconee River is much quieter, receiving generally moderate use during the warm season from both self-propelled paddlers and anglers in smaller fishing boats.
