Woodland Lake Trail
This is an enjoyable full-day or two-day hike up to beautiful Woodland Lake, a small, shallow lake nestled in a valley just north of Woodland Mountain. Wildflowers and alpine scenery are the highlights of this one- to two-day hike. The lake is stocked with cutthroat trout, so bring a fishing rod. Trail conditions: The lower portion of the trail is maintained and sees heavy use during the late summer months. The rocky upper portion of the hike follows a rock- and tree-filled gulch, crosses a stream, and is extremely wet in the late spring; it remains covered in snow during the late spring and early summer months.
