Westminster: Colorado Hills Trail
Those who like quiet solitude will enjoy the lake at Mower Reservoir. Walk one-way for 1.5 miles through Westminster’s Colorado Hills Open Space to reach this beautiful 11-acre pond. In the early summer, wildflowers bloom from the trailhead all the way to the lake. Most people come to this Open Space to give the dogs some exercise, and barely venture past the irrigation ditch. If you bring your pet and want to explore the trail, dogs must be leashed outside of the dog park.
