Washington Gulch Trail
Crested Butte, CO

Washington Gulch Trail
Washington Gulch Trail offers several options. The main goal is the ridge at 11,400 feet with spectacular views of the Maroon Bells–Snowmass Wilderness and the Raggeds Wilderness. The flowers are spectacular during July. The hike starts at the Gothic side trailhead, climbing through fields of wildflowers and spruce-fir forest to the ridge. The out-and-back option returns from here. The point-to-point option descends to the Washington Gulch side passing an old mine with relics. A high-clearance vehicle is required to reach the west side trailhead. Be mindful of mountain bikers the entire way.
