The Silver Basin
This pleasant but obscure little day hike follows an old mining road that leads nowhere in particular. Along the way, you can take in stunning views of the Three Apostles and view beaver ponds en route to the lower reaches of the Silver Basin. A trail that climbs to the head of the Silver Basin is marked on some maps, but this route is really nothing more than a network of game trails and has never existed as a formal trail.
