The North Fork of Lake Creek
This trail makes a fine day hike for visitors in the Independence Pass area, climbing to a frigid lake at the Continental Divide and yielding good views of the mountains all along the way. From the pass, an abandoned trail descends to the headwaters of the Fryingpan River, linking up with a maintained trail at the Fryingpan Lakes.
