The Main Range Trail
A day hike or backpack along the skirts of the mountains. This portion of the Colorado Trail makes a long traverse across the wooded skirts of the Mount Massive massif. Views of the mountains are very limited from this trail, but side trips along the Highline and Mount Massive trails can be very rewarding. This route can be through-hiked in a single day, but most travelers would approach it as an overnight trip.
