The Magdalene Mine
A side trip from upper Texas Creek to an old mine high above the timberline. The Magdalene Mine is one of the best-preserved ruins of a mine site in the Sawatch Range. For backpackers camped in upper Texas Creek, it makes an excellent destination for a day hike.
