Want that top-of-the-mountain experience without actually conquering a massive peak? Then hike to The Crags and rejoice. The trail to these jagged summits has all the exposure, solitude, and views that a full-fledged mountain climb does, but the thighs and lungs won’t feel the burn like they would on neighboring Pikes Peak. Don’t be misled, however; this hike has its challenges, including a steady climb and a difficult-to-discern trail toward the summit. Though the trail is not technically difficult, good hiking shoes, good route-finding skills and gumption will ensure good fun.
