The Colorado Trail: Kenosha Pass to Goldhill Trailhead
This segment originally started at the Kenosha Pass Campground driveway and proceeded through the campground and out the back gate. (There was even a small parking area off of the driveway for CT users.) While passing through the campground, the backpacker or bicyclist could refill water bottles at the hand pump, empty trash in the dumpster and enjoy the luxury of a sit-down toilet. However, now that the campground is under commercial management, any use requires payment of a fee. The CT is now routed south around the campground and the CT parking area has been eliminated. A similar situation exists at the Jefferson Lake access point, as several miles along Jefferson Creek have been declared a fee area
