Spud Lake
As one of the easiest hikes in this book, Spud Lake is a great excursion for family members of nearly all ages. From ages 4 to 84, all can reach this beautiful little lake for a picnic and some fine fishing. Of course, its easy access makes this lake a very popular destination, so don’t count on solitude. The lake was named for nearby Spud Mountain; their official names are Potato Lake and Potato Hill.
