South Fork Pass
A day hike to Deadman Lake, or South Fork Pass. This trail follows a picturesque, glacier-carved valley on the north side of the Hunter-Fryingpan. The trail is well beaten as far as Deadman Lake, a small and shallow mere near the valley’s head. Beyond this point, trail conditions are primitive and route-finding is tricky in places. The trail ultimately leads over a low pass to enter the Lost Man valley.
