Siamese Twins Trail
A stay in Colorado Springs without a visit to Garden of the Gods Park would be like eating an ice cream sundae without a cherry on top—it’s yummy, but you know something’s missing. A variety of hiking opportunities are available in this spectacular park. The Siamese Twins Trail described here is one of the easy trails less traveled, which, coupled with the truly remarkable views seen from Twins, makes it a true gem. The oval opening chiseled by wind and water into the Siamese Twins formation frames a perfect picture of Pikes Peak. Clamber into this smooth-bottomed window and your eyes can’t help but be drawn to the stunning massif that barricades the western horizon. Nature’s brilliant palette— the faded garnet of the Garden’s rock, the deep emerald of the blanketing conifer forest and the pearly white of the peak’s summit—is most vivid in spring.
