Sharkstooth Pass
Although Sharkstooth Peak is one of the smaller summits in the La Plata Mountains, it is one of the most spectacular. Protruding in splendid isolation a short distance north of the rest of the range, this sharply triangular summit is unmistakable, especially when viewed from the west. A short hike accesses Sharkstooth Pass, which, in turn, offers an up-close view of the rugged mountain.
