Roxborough State Park
Given Roxborough State Park’s wealth of geologic features, its ecological diversity, and its scenic beauty, you might find it hard to believe that this unique area can be so close to Denver. But Roxborough State Park proves that natural wonders and large metropolitan areas can coexist. Not only has it been designated as a Colorado Natural Area, but it is a National Natural Landmark as well. Of the park’s five different hiking trails, the Fountain Valley Loop Trail cuts to the chase where these natural wonders are concerned.
