Roxborough State Park Loops
Roxborough State Park is a land of red rock slabs sticking up like upside-down spear points without shafts. The Fountain Valley Trail provides a close-up view of the rocks and the historic Persse Place. The South Rim Trail circles Roxborough’s south end, winding through oakbrush past some of the huge rocks. Crossing over grasslands and past ponderosa pines, it ascends a ridge for an almost aerial view of the interesting rock formations.
