Located in south-central Colorado at the eastern edge of the San Juan Mountains, about 15 miles southwest of Monte Vista, and 10 miles northeast of Summitville. Entirely above timberline, this half-day walk follows a dirt road to a gentle, grassy tundra summit with an unusually large rock cairn. This eTrail will guide you to the highest point in this Colorado county. Inside you will find clear directions to the trailhead and to the summit. Also included is a detailed historical overview of the county and camping suggestions.
