Rincon La Vaca and Rio Grande Pyramid
Moderate day hike with the option of a long day hike or overnight trip. Could include a climb of Rio Grande Pyramid, located about 30 miles southwest of Creede in the Weminuche Wilderness Area. This hike offers an excellent entry point for the vast Weminuche Wilderness; access to the Continental Divide Trail; wildflowers in spring; aspen in fall; chances to see elk, deer, black bear; relatively easy access to spectacular alpine terrain.
