Raven's Roost / Oxen Draw Loop
The roost is a high-rocky point near the top of a forested mountainside, overlooking a steep, wooded draw. Raven, eagle, hawk or human, the views and exposure of the Roost (not to mention the steep climb up to it) invite you to rest a spell. The draw below is narrow and moist, and the trail crosses the seasonal stream time and time again as it descends, as though oxen had indeed picked the route.
