Rainbow Gulch Trail to Rampart Reservoir
Easy access from Colorado Springs is the primary benefit of this recreational area. The reservoir is also in a beautiful foothills and mountain setting, with giant granite boulders; aspen, fir, and spruce trees; sun-drenched hillsides; and good views of Pikes Peak in the distance. The trail is great for children and novice mountain bikers since it rolls gently and has no challenging terrain. You will find that there are sections where you’ll have to walk your bike to get around the picturesque boulders.
