Purgatory Creek / Animas River Trails
This trail is located in Colorado's Weminuche Wilderness. Highlights: scenic canyons and access to the wilderness. This route provides an alternative to using the train to get to the Chicago Basin. It's a day hike to the Animas River and back or a two-to-three day backpack if you explore Animas Canyon.
