Ponderosa / Sisters Loop
Alderfer / Three Sisters is an out-of-the-way gem of a mountain park. The trees are responsible for the marvelous feel of Alderfer- the pines are far enough apart to allow generous sunlight onto the woodland floor, yet close enough to impart a sheltered, protected feel. The Three Sisters, jumbled rock formations that give the park its name, jut above the vanilla-scented ponderosa.
