Pine Creek
A backpack to Silver King Lake. Pine Creek is one of the few long valleys that penetrate deep into the Collegiate Peaks Wilderness, allowing multi-day backpacking trips. The final 1.6 miles to Silver King Lake are primitive and will test your trail-finding skills. Connections with the Lowline, South Pine Creek, and Elkhead Pass Trails allow for the possibility of loop trips and point-to-point journeys, and a trail to the summits of Mounts Oxford and Belford offers the possibility to bag several fourteeners.
