Pikes Peak Trail
No trip to the Colorado Springs area is complete without exploring some of the trails on Pikes Peak even if you don’t want to summit. You can always drive to the top after your hike if you don’t want to climb at least 3000 feet to make it an official summit (the minimum requirement of the Colorado Mountain Club). You can hike any round-trip distance on the Barr Trail or from the top. Barr Camp offers four different types of overnight accommodations.
