Piedra River Trail
Pagosa Springs, CO

Piedra River Trail
From its canyon-rim beginnings, the Piedra River Trail follows a gentle descent through towering cliffs, along inviting pools, and into grassy meadows. Boulder outcrops and footpaths to the river happily divert kids hoping to find signs of river otters. The destination for the first 1.5-mile section of the Piedra River Trail is a large meadow framed by the Piedra River and Williams Creek, an ideal setting for beginning backpackers—with a fishing pole!
